Zeldis’s father, Biris, was Oda’s best friend and partner in trade for long years. They started their trade together when they were young. Oda’s shipments to Beeljad guaranteed the minimum business required to expand the small port that Biris’s father established at the Vin river. The trade made them both rich, and enabled them to expand. They both expanded into tourism, and while Oda moved to Gangis and focused on hotels to facilitate visiting Vindelta, Biris focused on designing activities for visitors. However, Oda’s expansion into entertainment and his Casino positioned Vindelta as a luxurious attraction, and forced Biris to direct his activities business to cater for the new type of visitors who visit the city. Instead of fishing trips in traditional fishing boats Biris started building boat docks and offering luxury trips in on luxury boats. The relationship remained strong until Biris’s death in 3210.
Zeldis took over the business after her father’s death. She knew Oda from her childhood, and maintained the close friendship with him, although she did not visit him very often.
